What Is Incentivized Traffic
Glossary
Incentivized traffic is when users take action (click, sign up, download) not out of interest, but to get a reward — like money, bonuses, or virtual gifts.
Basically, people do what you want because they’re paid or promised something in return.
Examples:
- Sign up at a casino and get 100₽ in a Telegram bot
- Download an app to earn coins in another game
- Subscribe to win an iPhone
Where it’s used:
- Affiliate arbitrage (especially gray/black-hat schemes)
- Mobile offers (app installs)
- Sometimes in iGaming (e.g. account farming)
Types of motivation:
- Cash, discounts, promo codes
- Virtual rewards: coins, skins, bonuses
- Prizes and giveaways
Cons:
- Users don’t care — they sign up and leave
- Low quality and bad conversion
- Most partner programs forbid it
- Can lead to bans or non-payment
When it’s used:
- To warm up accounts
- To simulate activity
- For quick testing (if allowed by the offer)
