What is a Sportsbook

A Sportsbook is a section of an online casino or a standalone platform where users place bets on sports events — real matches, tournaments, or virtual sports.

What it includes:
— a list of events available for betting (football, tennis, basketball, esports, etc.),
— different bet types: singles, accumulators, systems, handicaps, totals, live bets,
— odds that determine the payout amount,
— live mode that allows placing bets in real time during a game.

Example:
A user bets 100 UAH on Ukraine to win a match against Poland at odds of 2.5. If Ukraine wins, the payout is 250 UAH.

How it differs from casino games:
In a casino, players go against the system and rely on luck. In a Sportsbook, they bet on real events, using analysis and strategy.

Popular sports:
Football, basketball, tennis, hockey, esports (CS:GO, Dota 2, LoL, and more).

Why it matters:
The audience here is more analytical and tends to place bets regularly, especially during tournaments. That means higher LTV. Some affiliate programs even separate payouts by product type: Casino, Sportsbook, or Poker.
